we were learning about instrumental conditioning today in psychology and at some point the teacher said “for introverted people being punished and rewarded for their accomplishments is exactly the same. both situations are equally unpleasant” and i just shut down for the rest of the class thinking about those two sentences
tell me the truth.
Will I like college?
This is a really loaded question because everyone has different experiences.
I went to a small school where I knew 75% of my roommates before hand. My teachers were fantastic and turned into best friends after I graduated.
I was taking courses I enjoyed (Although let it be said I pretty much like everything except mathematics.) and I wouldn’t trade the experience for the world.
If you enjoy learning, and you’re driven, and you go into a study you like, then you, you’ll probably like it.
But if you just go to go, because that’s what your parents did, or what your best friends are doing, you probably won’t.
EDIT: Similarly, I had a friend who went to the same school as I did and he hated it. He was doing the same program and everything.
Like I said, everyone has different experiences.
I suppose, and I love learning and school; I’m just scared about the social stuff. I’m going to be attending a medium sized school, it’s just I’m afraid about my room mate and stuff like that. I’m afraid I’m going to end up holed up in dorm/the library the entire time…
